Our cancellation policy

We understand that circumstances can't always be predicted. If you need to change or cancel your reservation, please call us as soon as possible at 401.421.8877 to reschedule.

Please note that all online reservations are non-refundable unless La Gondola cancels due to strong wind, rain, or if the heat index is over 95 degrees at the time of your departure.

Cancellations made within seven days of a reservation's date may be subject to a cancellation fee of the value of your trip if La Gondola cannot fill the time slot with another reserving party.

Parties who do not show up for their reservation, or who cancel less than 24 hours before their scheduled trip, will be responsible for the full cost of their trip unless La Gondola can fill the time slot with another reservation. 

WaterFire cancellation policy (full lighting events)

IMPORTANT: WaterFire reservations are non-refundable unless the WaterFire itself is canceled. 

Parties who do not show up for their reservation, or who cancel less than 24 hours before their scheduled WaterFire trip, will be assessed a cancellation fee of the cost of their WaterFire trip. 

Our Weather Policy

If your trip is NOT scheduled during a full WaterFire display:

You are not obligated to take your trip if it is precipitating at your scheduled departure time.

If the weather forecast is uncertain (for example, if intermittent showers are expected), we ask that you check in with our dock by calling or texting (401) 644-3418 before you leave your house, hotel, or restaurant. We will make a decision together at that time based on the most updated weather information. 

Reservations that are cancelled or rescheduled due to inclement weather will not be assessed a cancellation fee. 

If your trip is scheduled during a full WaterFire display:

Heavy, sustained rain will cancel a WaterFire event. If that is the case, we will notify you that we are cancelling for the evening. At that time, you may either reschedule your reservation or request a refund. Reservations that are cancelled due to WaterFire cancellation will not be assessed a fee. 

WaterFire will still occur during sprinkles, drizzle, and scattered showers. If this is the case, we will be operating, and you are obligated to take your trip or be subject to our normal WaterFire cancellation policy (detailed above).
