About This Trip

The Viaggio da Rapsodia is a 40-minute trip which includes everything in our basic trip package with the addition of a live musician to accompany your trip. An experienced gondolier will gently row you along the Providence and Woonasquatucket Rivers, past historical landmarks, through public parks, and under picturesque bridges, while a talented musician of your choice makes music just for you. 

A perfect trip package for a romantic evening out, a fun time with friends, or a special occasion celebration.

*Not all musicians are available on all days. If the musician of your choice is not available for your desired reservation, we will contact you with additional options. 

 

Availability

  • This trip is available seven days and evenings a week, and on WaterFire Saturdays and Partial WaterFire days before the fires are lit. (Note that hours of operation are subject to change due to weather factors and/or the latest guidelines for COVID-19 safety.)

  • This trip is not available during WaterFire or Partial WaterFire events.

 

What's Included

Your choice of a live musician to accompany your trip. Choices include mandolin, guitar, violin, and accordion. Please note that not all musicians are available on all days.

Ice bucket, wine glasses, opener
(Bring your own bottle(s) of wine, prosecco, juice, etc.)  We try to keep bottle water at the dock but it is not a guarantee.

Handmade Italian wine biscuits
Made here in RI by select local bakers. 

Italian music provided by your gondolier
All of our gondoliers sing a little during their trips. If you want to request a special song, just ask - we will do our best!

What to Bring

Your favorite beverage. Wine, beer, prosecco, juice, or anything else you enjoy - we'll have the ice bucket, glasses, and opener ready to go for you. 

Snacks, utensils, and napkins. We provide our signature wine biscuits with every trip, but you are welcome to bring your own snacks, even a picnic meal! Just be sure to bring the napkins, utensils, etc. as well, since we don't have those items on hand. 

Weather-appropriate clothing. We also have blankets and umbrellas for you to use during your trip. 

A camera. We are happy to take photos for you at the dock at the beginning or end of your trip at your request.

Trip prices do not include gratuity for your gondolier and musician.

$299 for six passengers

NOTE: If you have more than six passengers in your party, you may reserve a second gondola for a simultaneous time slot (subject to availability). Please call us at 401.421.8877 to make your reservation. 

Other Important Information

Cancellation Policy: We understand that circumstances cannot always be predicted. If you need to change or cancel your reservation, please call us as soon as possible at 401.421.8877 to reschedule. Please note that all reservations are non-refundable unless La Gondola cancels due to either strong wind, rain, or if the heat index is over 95 degrees at the time of your departure.

Purchasing Trip Protection (10% of trip cost) at the time of your reservation allows parties to cancel or reschedule up to 24 hours in advance of their trip. If canceling, parties would be refunded for everything except trip protection and processing fees.

Reservations without Trip Protection that cancel or reschedule within 72 hours of their trip time will be subject to a fee of up to 100% of the cost of their trip, depending upon whether or not La Gondola can fill their original time slot.
